Status:  Project Proposal Level

An international development project is seeking 3 qualified Solar Trainers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and support on site competency based training on Solar Electrical System Installation and Maintenance during the pilot phase at assigned training centres (approximately 360 contact hours per centre), in line with NSDA approved curricula and CBT&A methodology.

  • Support the Training of Trainers (ToT) programme as a co trainer/side trainer, providing hands on technical demonstrations, practical facilitation support, and mentoring under the guidance of the lead ToT facilitator.

  • Conduct practical training sessions, demonstrations, and trainee assessments, ensuring alignment with approved lesson plans, training schedules, and competency standards.

  • Coach and mentor institutional trainers during live training delivery, strengthening both their technical skills and pedagogical capacity to enable future independent delivery of solar training courses.

  • Provide close technical support to trainees during hands on practical sessions, including solar system installation, wiring, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and safe operation of tools and equipment.

  • Assist in Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) processes, trainee assessments, and assessment evidence collection, in accordance with NSDA rules, procedures, and documentation requirements.

  • Participate in training monitoring and quality assurance visits, and contribute technical inputs to monitoring reports, progress updates, and lessons learned documentation.

  • Always Ensure strict compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards during training and ToT activities, including safe work practices, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and risk mitigation measures.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, with a valid NSDA certified CBT&A Level 4 Certificate and a Level 1 Solar Skills Training Certificate.

  • Bangla fluent and English B1/B2.

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in solar electrical system installation and maintenance.

  • At least 3 years of experience supporting practical training delivery, assessments, or industrial work.

  • Experience supervising trainees or supporting trainers is an asset.

  • Experience working in different regions of Bangladesh is preferred.

  • Experience in donor funded training projects is an advantage.

  • Strong hands on technical skills and ability to coach trainers during live training delivery.
