Boiler Expert

Status:  Project Proposal Level

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Training of Trainers (ToT) for Boiler Operation and Maintenance (Levels 2 to 4).

• Design the ToT training agenda, session plans, and required training documents based on NSDA approved Competency Standards (CS) and Competency Based Learning Materials (CBLM).

• Deliver CBT&A based Boiler ToT sessions covering boiler operation, maintenance, safety, and assessment practices.

• Evaluate trainer readiness and competency through structured assessments.

• Support Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and certification of the trainers.

• Contribute to ToT reporting and improvement recommendations.

• Take formal handover of boiler related training equipment in accordance with the approved work order and technical specifications, and oversee installation, testing, and commissioning at designated training institutions.

• Ensure boiler installation and commissioning comply with manufacturer guidelines, national boiler safety regulations, and occupational health and safety (OHS) standards, and confirm operational readiness for training use.

• Provide technical guidance to Boiler Operators and institutional trainers during pilot training delivery and train and mentor designated operators to build capacity for independent operation, maintenance, and future boiler training delivery after the pilot phase.

Qualifications & Experience:

• M.Sc in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

• Bangla fluent and English C1.

• At least 6 years of professional experience in boiler operation and maintenance.

• At least 3 years of experience supporting practical boiler training, safety supervision, or assessments.

• Experience supervising technical work or supporting training delivery is an asset.

• Experience working in Bangladesh is required.

• Experience in skills or TVET projects is an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of boiler safety standards, operational procedures, and practical assessment support.
